Requirements
Our Gemologists are responsible for performing tasks that require the application of the Gemological Institute of America's standards and practices. This includes exhibiting the highest standards of workmanship and ethics in all aspects of the job that require focus, skill, team work and communication.
Responsibilities include:
- Grading Diamonds (Color, Clarity, Plotting)
- Identifying Colored Gemstones
- Appraisals
- Part-Time Sales
- Behind the scenes paperwork and sales staff help
Candidates MUST be able to operate the following standard equipment: loupe, microscope, diamond measuring gauge, refractometer and polariscope.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Graduate Gemologist Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America
- 3 years proven experience as a gemologist is desired but we are willing to consider others with extremely positive references
