Andrew wanted his proposal to Alexis to be a surprise. What's more surprising than popping the question as soon as you get home from a tour in Afghanistan? "I was in Afghanistan on my third deployment and knew that I wanted to surprise my now wife by proposing to her," said Andrew. "Everything was perfect, but I needed a ring. I knew exactly what I wanted but was having a hard time finding it. I started searching online but couldn’t find a ring that I loved and a company I could trust."
"Finally I called home to the states and asked my sister in law for some help. Since her ring was from Meierotto’s it was the first place she looked. She found the ring that I described and sent me a picture in an email. After a few days of no internet I came back from a mission and was beyond excited at the pictures she sent. It was perfect. I didn’t get to see it in person until I got back from Afghanistan and I probably stared at it for 20 minutes. I was beyond excited, and so was my wife!"
Andrew and Alexis had a gorgeous wedding with a rustic feel at Paola Town Square in Paola, Kansas, which was featured by The Knot and can be seen in the Spring/Summer 2016 issue of The Knot Missouri/Kansas magazine and online. We wish this couple all the best, especially as they start their new business. Andrew owns RoKC Climbing, a rock climbing gym in North Kansas City set to open in 2016. We're so happy we could help Andrew find a ring, even from thousands of miles away!
