January: Garnet

May: Emerald
Emerald is May’s birthstone and beautifully represents growth and renewal, much like the spring season itself. This gemstone is a precious variety of beryl, valued for its lush green to bluish-green hue and captivating depth of color. Emerald has long been associated with love, wisdom, and harmony, and it is the gem for a 20th and 35th wedding anniversary.
June: Pearl, Alexandrite and Moonstone
June has three birthstones: pearl, alexandrite, and moonstone. Pearls form in oysters and symbolize purity and elegance. Alexandrite is rare and changes from green to red depending on light, representing balance and transformation. Moonstone glows softly, evoking calm and intuition. July: Ruby

Peridot is August’s birthstone, a gem of the mineral olivine. It ranges from yellowish-green to greenish-yellow and is sometimes mistaken for emerald or topaz. Peridot is valued for its beautiful bright, lively color and is associated with growth and prosperity. It is the gem for a 16th wedding anniversary.
September: Sapphire
Sapphire is September’s birthstone, often linked with loyalty, fidelity, and romance. The blue variety of corundum, sapphire is second in hardness only to diamond and makes excellent daily-wear jewelry. It is cherished for its brilliance and timeless elegance. Sapphire is the gem for a 5th and 45th wedding anniversary.
October: Opal & Tourmaline
Opal and tourmaline are October’s birthstones, each found in a wide range of beautiful and vivid colors. Fire opal has a yellow, orange, or red background, while tourmaline comes in many shades, including pink, red (rubellite), green, and the vivid neon blue-to-green Paraíba variety. Tourmaline is the gem for an 8th wedding anniversary.
November: Citrine & Topaz
Citrine and topaz are November’s birthstones. Citrine is the yellow to brownish-orange quartz variety and is the gem for a 13th wedding anniversary. Topaz appears in a wide range of colors from colorless to pink, purple, blue, and reddish-orange, the shade most associated with November, also called Imperial Topaz. Imperial Topaz is the gem for a 23rd wedding anniversary.
December: Blue Topaz, Zircon, Turquoise and Tanzanite
December birthstones are generally blue, though zircon occurs in many colors. Turquoise is the traditional December gem. Blue topaz is a popular, more affordable choice, while tanzanite, discovered in Tanzania in the 1960s, is prized for its deep blue-violet tones. Turquoise is the gem for the 11th wedding anniversary, blue topaz for the 4th, and tanzanite for the 24th.
